The pension is situated in about 3 miles distance from City Park, which is on of the greatest parks of the city. It can be reached by public transport in about 20 minutes, by car within 10 minutes.
The park was established in 19th century following a British model, on the former royal hunting-ground, which was a marshland before. To millennium-festivities was built here the Heroes' Square, Vajdahunyad Castle, then other buildings, boating lake, skating rink, the Municipal Zoo and Botanical Gardens, the Funfair, the Grand Circus, Széchenyi Baths, Museum of Fine Arts and Palace of Art. Here can be found Museum of Transport, Hungarian Museum of Agriculture, Hungarian Railway History Park, Petőfi Hall. On the edge of City Park is the Time's wheel. Not far from here, in Stefania avenue can be seen the beautiful Art Nouveau building of Institute of Geology.
